Liam was diagnosed with leukemia at just 11 months old and spent his earliest milestones—his first Christmas, haircut, and birthday—in the hospital. Over the years, Liam faced four separate leukemia diagnoses, including multiple relapses that ultimately required a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Thanks to groundbreaking pediatric research and critical patient support funded by Blood Cancer United, Liam’s transplant was successful. Today, 2.5 years later, Liam is cancer-free for the first time in his life.
As the 2026 Big Climb Honored Hero, Liam represents the hope made possible through innovation, advocacy, and compassion. He now enjoys fishing, school, and Pokémon—and dreams of becoming a teacher who creates safe spaces for kids facing tough challenges. Liam’s journey is a powerful reminder of why advancing less toxic, more effective treatments for children with cancer matters.
